Questions
Is Jimby like TeamViewer?
It does the same job: you see and control a computer from somewhere else. The difference is that the picture of your screen is encrypted on your devices, so the server in the middle cannot see it.
Which computers can I control?
Macs. Jimby Host runs on macOS. iPhone, Mac and Windows can all connect to it.
Does the Mac need to stay awake?
Keep it plugged in and Jimby Host stops it from sleeping and wakes the display when you connect. With the lid closed macOS turns the screen off, so leave the lid open.
What can your server see?
That your devices are online and when they connect to each other, plus how much data flows. Not your screen, your typing or your files.
What happens if I stop paying for Pro?
Your account moves to Free. Your oldest Mac keeps working. The others pause until you remove Macs or subscribe again.
